As some of you know; I am bussy clearing out my loft to make room for a space for myself. The decluttering is having an effect on me that I did not count for. I am starting to feel empty at the moment. No no, not that my house is EMPTY! Me myself and I are feeling empty. Al the stuff I horded over the last 36 years of my life, all the memories, all the tokens, the loveletter from a boyfriend in the past ( … I didn’t have that much boyfriends ) the stuff I got when my mom died, all the fabric I bought over the last couple of years… I had it all going through my hands this morning and to lots of it I said goodbye. Goodbye to the things that gave me joy and laughter, to the stuff that brought me to tears…goodbye to the past and wel…
Now I can finaly say: ” Hello future! you can trow anything and everthing upon me, I am sure I can handle it”
( and if not I have an almost empty loft now, where I can give it a box as restingplace……)

Last Teusday, I went to visit the adoptive grandmother of my childeren. She gave me a bag filled with beans and a bag filled with red beetroods ( correct? ) and that meant I was bussy preparing it all for freezing! my fingers are some kind of pinky-collored and my soup-pan is green from the beens but I got it all done and now it is all in the freezer, waiting for the winter to arrive! mmm fresh and biological vegies… nothing can beat that! thanks again M & W !
In between the beans and the beetroots we went to a big playyard called lineaushof ( we meaning kid N, me, 2 sisters who are friends of kid N and their mom ) We had a wonderfull day and I even got a huge sunburn even though the sun wasn’t shining that much! The wind was blowing gently and I think that was the evildo-er…. oh well, we had a lot of fun and thats what counts!
We are halfway kid N’s summerbreak now and I must admit I long for the day she has to go back to school again. She can be a real angel but more often than not she is a huge devil doing stuff she knows isn’t okay… just 3 more weeks…. just 3 more weeks… just 3 more weeks…LOL.
Nothing to tell you about on the sewingfront, just a dress for the kid and thats all folks….to bussy clearing out my rubbish and cleaning the house.
Not that we are planing on moving but maybe I am cleaning not just my house but also my life… who knows?!
I am working on a couple of presents though… not going real fast at the moment, but still working on them!
blog you later

Hello all, my name is Winda aka DutchQ and I am a Fabricaholic…

As some people may know, I am decluttering my home and decluttering my life. I want to talk with you about the first.. decluttering my home.
I have found out that I have all - yes ALL - the karakteristics of a fabricaholic… In every room in my house I keep on finding fabric, fabric and even more fabric! I have lots of fabric for sewing trousers, dresses and shirts for my kids, and even more fabric for quilting and sewing. I can’t go on a vacation without first trying to find out if there will be a quiltshop/market/fabricshop in the area; oh oh, bad bad me…

I know for sure there must be a 12 step program to get me over this addiction, but I am not sure if I want to. What can be better than all the colors of fabric? The feel of cotton in your fingers? Thinking of al the things you can create with the fabric???? NOTTHING…..
So … Yeah, I am a Fabricaholic and darn proud of it!

Somewhere in May we had our Son Lars baptised to become part of the Catholic Church of Rome. My mother had made a dress for my little girl when she got baptised several years ago. She made the dress out of my own weddingdress and her being a little star now, gives the dress lots of emotional meaning to both me and my husband.
here are some pictures of lars showing the dress and his cuteness!

bye for now!
