As regular readers of my blog probably have seen already, I’ve changed the layout and background of my blog… again. LOL.
Anyway, I can’t find a way to put some extra text in my sidebar…. does anyone know how to do that and help me please? or is there a real good but for me hidden tutorial on this subject that I seem to have missed in my googlesearch? I want a list of things still to be made, things I plan on making and things I’ve finished…..
who can help me here? Thanx!

hugs XxX

Sometimes everything goes down the drain and time runs away from you.. thats how I feel lately. I try to keep up the blogging part of having a blog ( serious? ) but reallife has to many projects to find some time for blogging.
We went on a vacation to Eibergen ( nl.) with the friend of my late mother and his new friend. We had a lovely weekend, lots of laughs and I visited a quiltshop in Zutphen ( nl ) called Petra-prins and I loved going trough her FQ’s! I have a new addiction.. I collect FQ’s with roses on them. Soft colored backgrounds and soft collored roses. I want to make a simple strip patchwork quilt for myself eventualy. So I bought me 9 FQ’s and a pattern to make a “housewife” . I love that pattern already! I have begun this week with making the pattern and yes it is a lot of handsewing but I really like the “housewife” a lot! I have been looking for this pattern almost everywere!

And today… well today I went to the anual quiltshow of the dutch quild-gilde and … forgot to take my camera with me.. silly me! But I so enjoyed looking at all these marvelous quilts! I even got realy closeup with one of them to see how it was quilted.. I was all admiration, they all were really good! There were modern quilts and traditional quilts and some were something inbetween.. lol! But I enjoyed looking at them and that is what counts, doesn’t it?
Ofcourse there were some quilt-boots with all kind of fabrics for sale and I could not help buying some rosy-fabrics! lol… my husband had to work and my girly was at school so it was just me and my little guy. Can you imagine how many people stopped and looked at Him instead of the quilts on the wall? Come to think of it… He was the youngest visitor today! lol they even took a picture of him and everybody told me how great they think it is taking him to a quiltshow… well my responce was: you have to infect them very young… you never know what can come from it, right? lololol
After having visited the show, I wandered into the city of Alkmaar (nl) and found a bookstore with all kind of quilt related books… so I could not help myself for the 2nd time and bought a couple of books and some postcards with all kind of quilts on them… my day has been good today…. I am so blessed!

As some of you know; I am bussy clearing out my loft to make room for a space for myself. The decluttering is having an effect on me that I did not count for. I am starting to feel empty at the moment. No no, not that my house is EMPTY! Me myself and I are feeling empty. Al the stuff I horded over the last 36 years of my life, all the memories, all the tokens, the loveletter from a boyfriend in the past ( … I didn’t have that much boyfriends ) the stuff I got when my mom died, all the fabric I bought over the last couple of years… I had it all going through my hands this morning and to lots of it I said goodbye. Goodbye to the things that gave me joy and laughter, to the stuff that brought me to tears…goodbye to the past and wel…
Now I can finaly say: ” Hello future! you can trow anything and everthing upon me, I am sure I can handle it”
( and if not I have an almost empty loft now, where I can give it a box as restingplace……)
